Mahogany Cradle with Antique Pine Inlays

Welcome!

Thanks for visiting our website! Like our tagline says, we believe furniture should tell a story – your story. Here’s one of our recent favorites: Meet Bitsy Landreaux (left), standing in front of her Louisiana home, circa 1937. Bitsy was Stephanie’s grandmother – one of those wonderful southern ladies that could pick a bushel of peas from her garden, catch a cooler full of bream, and make it to her standing “beauty shop” appointment all before most of us got out of bed. Unfortunately, she passed away before her great-grandchildren, Norris & Lydia (right) arrived. In honor of Bitsy, Kenner took some remnant pieces of the old pine logs from her childhood home and created this beautiful heirloom mahogany cradle. The pine logs are used as inlays on the legs of the cradle. Norris has outgrown the cradle, so  his little sister, Lydia now enjoys it. I’m sure their great-grandmother Bitsy’s spirit is with them as they rock. (Special thanks to cousins Ronny & PeeWee Carpenter for salvaging the old pine logs!)
